Front Porch Ragdolls have been developed over 20 years of breeding our favorite personalities and temperaments into an amazing line of tried-and-true companion cats. We breed first and foremost for companionship and health, with as many coat possibilities and genetic variety as possible. Our ragdolls are accustomed to bathing, brushing, and rough and tumble with toddlers and young children. Many of our kittens have learned to fetch and will play with “soft paws”. They are an extremely loving and docile breed, and are best kept indoors, or indoor/outdoor with close supervision.
Front Porch Ragdolls are cared for by Angels Veterinary. Sire and Dam are fully vaccinated and have tested negative for FIV FeLV. All Front Porch Ragdolls have been tested for Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) by U.C. Davis Veterinary Labs. HCM is estimated to afflict 30% of purebred ragdolls and can lead to severe heart illness and death. For this reason, it is very important to test both sire and dam for this mutation and eliminate it from cattery bloodlines. If your breeder cannot show proof of HCM negative genetics, do not assume kittens are healthy. HCM symptoms often do not appear until the second or third year. All kittens have received flea preventative and leave our cattery with a health guarantee.
**Due to issues with side effects and complications, we no longer vaccinate young kittens before rehoming. It is best to pursue your preferred vaccination schedule with your vet.
grand Sire Timmy with his favorite brush. Timmy is our retired herd sire; We have kept several of his granddaughters in our breeding program and have brought in new sires so that we can keep this very special lynx ragdoll’s blood lines going. Timmy is quite simply the best cat I have ever owned. HE is extremely intelligent and loyal, he bonds with each member of the household, he herds us to bed at night and watches all our favorite TV shows with the family.
Front Porch Ragdolls are exceptional companions
